Hanesbrands Credit Union is over 8,000 members strong, and is in 46 states and several foreign countries. Your credit union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, which was granted a charter December 14, 1937. The credit union was formed by employees of Hanes Hosiery Mills for thrift and prudent loans. Since opening our door in 1938, Hanes Mills Hosiery Credit Union has grown considerably, and had a couple of name changes. But the original goals of thrift and prudent loans still guide the credit union today. Profits are returned to members in the form of higher dividends on savings and lower interest on loans. The credit union is governed by a member-elected board of directors.
